Sequels we want – Groundhog Day 2

Time to bring back Punxsutawney Phil again?

Back in 1993 Groundhog Day was delighting filmgoers across the world. The wonderfully heartwarming comedy about a weatherman being forced to live the same day over and over again still looks as good to this day.

Bill Murray had never been better, not even in Ghostbusters. Andie MacDowell was enchanting and the ensemble cast just worked. Infact, the whole film just worked. It is one of those films that you can watch year after year and it never fails to put a smile on the face.

Director Harold Ramis might not be with us anymore, but could a Groundhog Day 2 ever happen?

Murray’s character could return to Punxsutawney but maybe there could be a new twist. Perhaps each new day he could awake, trapped in the body of someone else from Punxsutawney!

Or should the film be left alone, probably yes, but that doesn’t stop me hankering after a sequel, just to relive that magic again.
